Silver‑coated glass is produced by vacuum magnetron sputtering, depositing nanoscale functional films of metallic silver, oxides, and nitrides on the glass surface. It offers high visible light transmittance, low emissivity, infrared reflectivity, and UV blocking, while meeting stringent requirements for safety, comfort, and energy efficiency. Depending on the number of silver layers, such glass is classified as single‑silver, double‑silver, triple‑silver, and so on; the greater the number of silver layers, the stronger the infrared reflectivity and the better the thermal insulation.
